Important Reminder: Quality Control Advisor Retirement

Quality Control Advisor® will be retired on May 29, 2026 and replaced with Quality Control Advisor PlusSM. Read the FAQs. Please review these changes to ensure a seamless transition:

  • Reports previously available in Quality Control Advisor will not be transferred to ECO and you will no longer have access to legacy reporting in Quality Control Advisor starting May 29.

  • All new Quality Control Advisor Plus reports are now available in ECO®.

  • If you need to retain any existing Quality Control Advisor reports, download and save them before May 29

      Next Steps:

  • If you don’t already have access to ECO for Quality Control Advisor Plus reporting, please contact your Access Manager administrator to get started.

  • For guidance on using ECO, we recommend utilizing the ECO tutorial.

If you have any questions or need assistance downloading your reports, please contact your Freddie Mac representative or Customer Service (800-FREDDIE).

Thank you for your attention to this important transition.

Reverifications:

Recent updates from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac continue to highlight the importance of maintaining strong and consistent QC reverification practices. As industry expectations continue to evolve, our Reverification Department continues to refine and strengthen processes to support compliance requirements while improving overall workflow efficiency.

One area receiving additional focus is reducing duplicate reverification requests when information has already been validated through approved third-party or automated verification sources allowed under current agency guidelines. This helps our team spend more time researching higher-risk items, reviewing inconsistencies, and addressing auditor-requested verifications that may require additional attention. We also continue to emphasize the importance of detailed MARS notes, accurate research, and proper documentation of every verification attempt. Ensuring documents are sent to the correct contacts, maintaining accurate phone numbers and email addresses, and clearly documenting outcomes all play an important role in supporting the QC review process.

As processes continue to evolve, our team remains committed to providing accurate, timely, and thorough reverification support while maintaining the quality standards our clients expect.
